24 Years Later They're Back with the Mayhem - Belles in Monica "Meltdown [Decoded]" - New Video

Just published on Youtube, exactly 24 years to the day since the single was first released on 12" & CD formats, and as part of the label New Dawn Records' own 30th anniversary celebrations.

24 YEARS LATER - BELLES IN MONICA "MELTDOWN [DECODED]" takes a look back at one of the group's most contentious cuts in relation to the actual lyrical meaning which caused some consternation in certain quarters at the time, mainly the eternally confused. The video is designed to address that, whether bringing clarity to the chaos, or just further confusion for the bewildered....

Either's fine.....it's all in the mind....

The joint was championed by Steve Lamacq, the then presenter of BBC Radio 1's flagship Evening Sessions programme, and included remixes by DJ Nappa (Phi Life Cypher) and turntablist supreme Krash Slaughta (Monkey Mafia / II Tone Committee)

It was released for the first time in digital format in 2019 together with the crew's other most recognizable single "Y'All Under Surveillance" as part of an EP.  You can stream all versions of both on SPOTIFY
