NIJI Magazine Review Melanin 9 "Magna Carta"
"Perhaps one of the most meaningful albums to reach my ears" opens Canada's Brandon Schiafone aka DJ Mafia House in his review of the Melanin 9's debut LP "Magna Carta"
Writing for the UK's Niji Magazine, a publication with a long history of supporting new and emerging talent and artists, the piece touches upon the Emcee's ability with superior lyricism and wordplay to speak on the subjects of racism, social conditions, spirituality, love and politics
It's an in depth review, critical in places but done with positive intentions, but ending with :
"As he continues to grow and develop his music, I feel as if Melanin 9 could develop into an iconic figure in the world of conscious hip hop......if you are a lover of conscious rap music, however, this album is definitely worth your attention"
