Male or female, hip hop doesnt get much better than this.

Brooklyn's queen of underground hiphop, Jamaican born Gangalee, has been grindin hard for several years, and while beginning to tighten up the business side of her organization & increase exposure, she hasnt lost focus on her approach of writing and performing from the heart.

There's never been a lack of quality female mcs out there, the difference in 2011 is that more encouragement is now been given to those with skills to shine, more recognition via the media, without the insistance on them compromising their integrity....with one or two notable exceptions.

With UK counterparts such as Lioness, Baby Blue, Mz Bratt, Lady Leshurr & Shystie gaining more recognition with their own style & homegrown sound, it's hoped that there will be a bigger representation Stateside for artists such as Gangalee as there is internationally, and act as an encouragement and inspiration for a new generation to once again get involved on their own terms and bless the mic
