B-MUS KHALIL - GO 'ARDER

This is the new single from B-Mus Khalil, "Go Arder"

LEWISHAM'S B-MUS KHALIL KICK STARTS A BIG YEAR AHEAD WITH THE LAUNCH OF HIS NEW SINGLE ‘GO ‘ARDER’

Having been featured on BBC 1Xtra's recommended Top 3 ‘Hood Heat’ with his first solo mixtape ‘The Art of Storytelling’ earlier this year, B-Mus Khalil is set to make a major impact on the UK hip hop scene.

Having put the time in with an impressive work ethic, he has earned the respect of the hip hop community for his intricate wordplay, cerebral rhymes and "real life" storytelling. He built a reputation on the live circuit including regular appearances at the Jump Off, where he faced off a number of MC’s including Professor Green. As his reputation grew, music producer Paul Waller, who’s produced for Massive Attack and Bjork, approached B-Mus to work on his first demo. He has since collaborated with Smiler, Narstie and Swiss as well as sharing the stage with Chipmunk, Sway, Devlin, Giggs and Wretch 32.

‘Go Arder’ showcases this highly talented MC's range of mic skills over tight beats. Set for release in November this year, it’s the first cut from his album ‘Long Story Short’ which has been scheduled for a summer 2011 completion. The single has already received the seal of approval from 1Xtra's Charlie Sloth and Choice FM's DJ 279.

B-Mus' natural instinct as a socially aware artist sees him giving back regularly to his local community in Lewisham where he assists in educating young people through music. It’s his records that are a real testament for his wish to be a positive role model. The impressive accompanying video, shot in Lewisham, does just that and showcases the local community, dancers, landmarks as well as the elements and culture of hip-hop. It’s scheduled for release across UK music channels shortly.

As one half of hip hop duo Toplinerz, B-Mus has enjoyed success in the UK with hard hitting 2007 releases ‘New Day’ and ‘They Don't Know’, the latter receiving heavy rotation on Channel AKA.

While focusing on the recording of his new album, he is also set to drop his second mixtape ‘T.A.O.S.T. pt 2’ in the Autumn.

As an artist who relishes the energy of the live performance and connecting with the hip hop community, he will be performing at dates before the end of 2010. Cultured in the finest traditions of hip hop, look out for B-Mus Khalil taking further major strides in his career over the coming months.
